Since its inception the organization’s niche has been in the mentoring field providing direct services and consulting in the mentoring arena for various agencies. SG has successful worked with hard to reach individuals and persons with barriers to employment. SG has developed a mentoring curriculum specific to persons with barriers to employment not only focusing on personal development but also t
he unique aspects of persons seeking to make restitution with society and the reintroduction of established society norms and expectations. We have found mentoring to be a rewarding experience for the both the mentor and mentee. We have also acknowledged it is difficult to facilitate the bonding of two strangers with the expectation of forming a trusting relationship. To overcome that challenge SG provides mentoring groups which we have found to be most effective in reaching to target population. In the group setting trust is build which facilitates the one to one mentoring relationship. SG is prepared with key personnel and curriculum to provide mentoring groups for targeted population. Our vast project experience in program and group development, excellent facilitation skills, Certified Christian Life Coaching credentials (Professional Christian Coaching Academy), Mentoring Program Certification (Big Brothers Big Sisters), Family Development Credential (Cornell University Extension Program) and direct experience with the target population.
