Following the water crisis involving high levels of lead in drinking water that occurred in 2014 in Flint, Michigan, concerns have been raised about the safety of drinking water in other areas of the country, specifically in homes with children, schools, and hospitals. Lead poisoning is a serious and sometimes fatal condition. It occurs when lead builds up in the body. Lead is a highly toxic metal and a very strong poison. Children under the age of 6 are especially vulnerable to lead poisoning, which can severely affect mental and physical development. Environ Safety is proud to offer water quality testing for the presence of lead in drinking water for our commercial clientele. We have partnered with our laboratory, EMSL, to provide our clients with this cutting edge testing that only a few regional firms are able to provide. Due to our licensing and existing laboratory relationship, we have been given first priority to offer this service to our clients while other consulting firms are being turned away.
