“Few people will ever understand what it feels like to win a gold medal, but we can all relate to the feeling of struggling to accomplish hard things or get through a rough patch where nothing seems to go our way. In my own disappointment, I am learning to appreciate that some seasons of life are not about triumph, but about holding space for the struggle and acknowledging the courage it takes to pick ourselves up and risk our hearts again and again.” With the Tokyo Olympics just over and the ink barely dry in the record books, Kate Courtney has already done what world-class competitors do: process, reflect on and learn from experience. Please read her op ed in the . Link in our bio.

Jason Caldwell is World Record human power and endurance in its purest form. Smashing the Guinness World Record, and rowed an open ocean boat from Sausalito, California, to Waikiki, Hawaii - an incredible 4,400 kilometers - in 30 days, 7 hours, and 30 minutes. During what is known as The Great Pacific Race, the four never stopped working. In teams of two, they would row 12 hours each day, taking turns every two hours. This effort cut an impressive 9 days from the previous record.  Sleeping was incredibly difficult, constant exposure to sun and salt water, navigation of the mighty Pacific Ocean, painful wounds on their hands, bottoms and feet. Inspiring. Mind blowing. It makes us think - what can we do over 30 days?
