It pops up in garage conversations frequently. The stem wall. In this conversion another interior wall was added leaving window depth. The last photo shows same treatment on a 2x6 wall.

Friday morning I picked 400 lbs of Touriga Nacional from 6:30 to 8:30 am. Processing was finished Saturday morning. Due to excessive heat (107) fermentation started by wild yeasts before I could add a commercial yeast. The heat created a fast fermentation and the number I wanted for my port additions came Sunday afternoon. Fortification was done and the yeast died an early death. The rest of the must was left to continue and make still wine.
