Can chemistry really be measured? 🤍

Dating apps and algorithms can tell us a lot about compatibility. They can match us on interests, values, lifestyle and preferences, but there’s one thing they can’t predict: how you’ll actually feel when you meet someone.

Chemistry lives in the things that can’t be captured on a profile. The ease of conversation, the laughter, the attraction, the energy between two people and that feeling of simply clicking.

Sometimes, the person who looks perfect on paper isn’t the person you feel the strongest connection with. And sometimes, an unexpected introduction can lead to something extraordinary.

Because compatibility can be assessed, but chemistry has to be experienced.

Meet Frankie, one of our Senior Matchmakers in London 🤍

With a First-Class Honours degree in Psychology and a background researching the impact of attachment styles on romantic relationships, Frankie brings a fascinating understanding of human behaviour to her work as a matchmaker.

Since joining Maclynn in 2018, Frankie has become known among her clients for her warm, down-to-earth and empathetic approach. She is also a member of The British Psychological Society, a certified dating and relationship coach, and a certified positive psychology coach.

For Frankie, matchmaking starts with truly getting to know the person behind the search: understanding their hopes, values and aspirations, and what they’re really looking for in a life partner.

From a Maclynn introduction to “I do” 🤍

We couldn’t be happier to celebrate Sofia and John, who met through Maclynn and have now officially tied the knot.

Their beautiful wedding was recently featured in The New York Times, with Maclynn receiving a special mention as part of the story that brought them together, a moment we’re incredibly proud to be part of.

Seeing an introduction grow into a relationship, a partnership and ultimately a marriage is what makes matchmaking so special.

Meet Liv, our Open Membership Manager in London ✨

For many of our Open Members, Liv is one of the first people they’ll meet at Maclynn. From welcoming new members into our network and getting to know them, to being a familiar face at our singles events, she plays an important role in making the Open Membership experience feel personal from the very beginning.

With a degree in Psychology and a Master’s in Forensic Mental Health Research from King’s College London, Liv brings a fascinating understanding of human behaviour and interpersonal relationships to her role, alongside the warmth and positivity our members know her for.
