Hey everyone! I know we haven't posted in a while. We are starting a new series of adding our experiences as well as people's experiences of the African Diaspora around the world! We will have individuals take over our stories or post to share their experiences of the culture. If you are interested please DM us!

There are lots of reasons why people who are interested in visiting Africa don’t travel to the continent. The goal of the “Travel to Africa Now” panel is to tackle those reasons and encourage people living in the US to travel to Africa.
We seek to dispel the myths, stereotypes and misconceptions that continue to plague our continent and represent are the reasons why people still haven’t made their first trip there. We intend on going beyond theory to show the audience how to plan & book their trips. The panelists Ayite , JoAnna and Justa will use their own personal travel experiences on the continent to engage with the audience and our moderator . The format includes a panel discussion followed by a Q&A and some time for networking.

Welcome to South Africa. The last stop on our Reclaiming our Roots journey. First city Johannesburg. Of all the countries we visited, South African’s history of apartheid is the closest to America’s plight of institutionalized racisms against black people. The museum was heartbreaking to say the least.

The Southern Namib desert is home to some of the tallest and most spectacular dunes of the world, ranging in color from pink to vivid orange. These dunes continue right to the edge of the Atlantic Ocean. The cold waters of the sea brushing against the dunes of the Namib desert is one of the most surreal sights. It’s one of the few places the desert meets the ocean. It was breathtaking.
