Interior designers are saying it out loud: the carpet you’ll never find in their own homes is cheap synthetic. 🐑

In a new Real Simple feature, designer Bethany Adams explains that when you add up the lifetime cost of maintaining and replacing low-grade man-made carpet, a high-quality wool carpet comes out about even. Wool also has an advantage synthetics can’t copy: it’s naturally flame-resistant, which makes it a smart choice for nurseries and kids’ rooms.

At LSI Flooring, natural fiber is home turf. We offer thousands of natural fiber broadloom and area rug products, from beautiful residential projects with a lot to handle to the heaviest-traffic commercial and hospitality spaces.

And what goes under the carpet matters too. UnSquashable™ Padding, an LSI Flooring Brand, is UL GREENGUARD Gold certified for low chemical emissions, so the cushion under your floor supports healthier indoor air in homes, schools, offices and hotels.

Natural fiber on top. Certified-clean cushion underneath. 💙

GO GREEN OR GO HOME! 💚

Benjamin Moore just named Webster Green (HC-130) its 2027 Color of the Year. It’s a classic, confident green that works with almost any style, and we’re already picturing it next to a gorgeous new carpet or area rug. 😍

Here’s our hot tip: everyone will notice that fresh green wall. Nobody will see the cushion under the carpet. But EVERYONE will feel it. 👣

That’s where UnSquashable™ Padding comes in. It keeps carpet looking and feeling plush long after the paint dries. Gorgeous on top, unsquashable underneath! 💪

Brooklyn Heights just got a beautiful new foundation. 🏛️

Our partner Momeni is a Patron sponsor of the 2026 Brooklyn Heights Designer Showhouse, outfitting six designer rooms at historic One Monroe Place with custom broadloom, ready-to-ship rugs, a Novogratz x Momeni ICON piece, and a hand-picked one-of-a-kind.

Pictured: SRF Interiors' cozy "Snug," grounded in Momeni's custom-cut Sari broadloom, a warm neutral flecked with hints of color.

The house is open to the public through November 1, and proceeds benefit the Brooklyn Heights Association's work preserving the neighborhood's architecture. Well worth the trip!

And remember: a beautiful carpet deserves what's underneath it. UnSquashable™ Padding keeps broadloom and area rugs looking showhouse-fresh for years.

Peace. Love. Fall. 🍂🎃

The sweaters are coming out, the grills are cooling down, and just like that — everyone's attention turns back indoors. Fall is when homes and offices get cozy again, and it's the busiest, best season for making interiors feel warm, comfortable, and inviting.

This adorable "Peace Love Fall" pillow from Nourison Mina Victory Accessories is exactly the kind of touch that makes a space feel like the season. And while the pillows and throws set the mood up top, the real comfort starts underfoot — great rugs and UnSquashable™ Padding are what make a room feel as good as it looks.

Ever wondered what goes into a woven Wilton carpet? 🧵 Our latest video takes you onto the loom to see cut & loop pile woven into one refined, durable surface — the kind of craftsmanship you feel underfoot.

And a premium carpet deserves a premium foundation. UnSquashable™ Padding protects that investment and keeps it feeling luxurious for years.

Here's what no one tells you about carpet padding: the cheap stuff is already failing the day it goes down.

Outdated needle-punch pads flatten and harden. Rebond has hard spots and soft spots and tends to dry out and crumble. When the pad collapses, your carpet looks tired years too soon.

UnSquashable™ is different by design — 100% high-density virgin polyurethane built to bounce back, install after install. It's even in the name.

Your carpet is only as good as what's under it.

The Carpet and Rug Institute calls cushion "the life of the carpet" — the shock absorber that takes the wear so your fibers don't. Cheap, flattened padding lets a beautiful carpet wear out from the bottom up.

UnSquashable™ keeps carpet looking newer, longer — and it's warranted for the life of the carpet when double-glued.
