NYI COO Phillip Koblence is back from last week’s dynamic Green Building Initiative (GBI)'s seminar in Dallas, TX (May 5-6) where he was honored to moderate the closing panel “More Than Megawatts: Community-Centered Approaches to Data Center Development” which brought together leaders in digital infrastructure sustainability and community engagement to discuss challenges, insights and suggestions on how to build community trust and partnership.

Phillip also participated in an executive roundtable which explored related topics such as challenges around power availability, regulatory policy and the need for cross-disciplinary collaboration to support community needs.

In addition to the balmy weather, Phillip enjoyed reconnecting with colleagues, engaging with new and existing partners, attending insightful sessions, and engaging in important conversations about the impact of AI and the evolving future of digital infrastructure.

Phillip shared information about NYI's extensive colocation, connectivity and managed service capabilities in New York at and in Chicago at Boulevard in Oak Brook.

Phillip was also delighted to participate in Mana Hui, a carbon neutral networking event designed to give leaders the chance to connect while exploring sustainable practices in digital infrastructure. The gathering, which highlighted the importance of community, culture and accountability, was hosted by the NomadFuturist Foundation in partnership with Pacific Telecommunications Council.
