In this modern music world of easy access to high quality recording and playback systems we could only ever dreamed of having in a professional studio not long ago, many of us fight to get the sound we’re looking for. One critical component that cannot be understated is the acoustics - as without some degree of proper acoustics the recording and listening process falls far flat. For years I was fo
rtunate enough to work in some of the best big room studios in New York, so I know what a proper listening environment sounds like. I've also worked in many production rooms, home studios, living rooms and spare bedrooms turned studio to know how difficult it can be to listen in an untreated environment. I see many home studio or smaller studio owners taking the time to add some acoustic treatment, but it's usually not calculated before hand or tested afterwards, so the results are sketchy at best and entirely ineffective at worst. Through my knowledge of critical listening environment design and equally if not more important, acoustic testing, we’ll examine your room and show you the acoustic characteristics it has and how close that is to a target for that room. We can discuss what treatments are available to bring your room to proper specifications. You can’t get the sound you want if you can’t hear it properly.
