Some great news, we’ve been selected by the LA Times Festival of Books to be a featured author for Kinokuniya USA. Please visit us at the Kinokuniya Bookstore - Los Angeles booth on Saturday April 22 from 10:30 to 1pm. Yo-yo, the main character from “The Ookleberry Tree” will be making a special appearance and signing books.
Winner of 2 awards in 2022, this book is about a misfit girl who leaves the world to find friends and together they go on an adventure to find a magical tree that grants wishes. Inspired by the writer’s real life experiences with racism and bullying, I wanted to create a world where everybody fits in no matter how different you are. We are so grateful to the bookstores and buyers for giving our books retail placement.
Tigrefou Editions is a minority and woman owned publisher and we’ve printed 3 books in the last 4 years. All our books have won awards. We’ve won 21 awards for art direction, book design, and photography, including Best of Show in 2022.
We are a small team of four artists competing amongst corporate giants like MGM, Disney, Audi, Caesars, Coca Cola, etc, so to be even recognized is surprising but also a feat as we all work incredibly hard and are dedicated to creating beautiful and inspiring art books.

A big congratulations to Tigrefou Editions Creative Director, Francis George, for being selected by Saatchi Art Gallery as a featured artist. He's been busy working on several upcoming art books and the level of finesse, detail, and artistry that goes into each photo is incredible.

Not only did he win two gold Addy's for his photography in our first book, "the CLOUD that fell from the sky," those series of images were also selected by Saatchi to be featured as a collection. Congratulations Francis! We are so proud of you.

THE LIGHT FROM WITHIN: DELIVERING HAPPINESS & TONY HSIEH

One of my favorite photos of Tony was taken by Francis George, the photographer who also took the photos for our poetry book. It was of him peering into a Zappos box and seeing a brilliant light come out. This picture captured the essence of Tony, an illuminated spirit who was kind and compassionate, who saw the light in each and everyone of us and inspired us to step outside of the box so that we could shine not only for others and ourselves to see, but also to serve as a beacon so that others may also find their light and shine in this universe.

😷 SOCIAL/PHYSICAL DISTANCING SAVES LIVES 🌎🕊

Protect others by protecting yourself and vice versa...hopefully this will not be the fashion of the future.

When we first conceptualized this photo about a year ago, it was in reaction to gun violence and we were proposing it as fashion of the future, not realizing that a year later, it would become fashion of the present and as a way to eventually save lives.
