Responsibilities include: supporting developmental milestones, school readiness, and potty training, planning engaging, educational and age-appropriate activities and outings, managing the children’s daily schedules and routines - including school preparation, drop-offs/pickups, meals, naps, and extracurricular activities, running household and family errands (including grocery shopping, assisting with meal preparation (ideally the candidate will be a confident family cook), assisting with child-related events such as birthday parties, maintaining awareness of the children’s medical and allergy-related needs and traveling with the family both on vacations and to their upstate home. The family is seeking someone engaging, proactive, and developmentally savvy who ideally holds a college degree in a childcare-related field. Candidates should be strong swimmers, hold a valid passport and be up to date on vaccinations. Classroom experience and a valid driver’s license are preferred, though not required. The family will guarantee a 40-hour workweek, typically Monday through Friday from 11am–7pm, with flexibility. Ideally, they would love someone who can also assist with morning routines from approximately 7/7:30am–9am once the children begin school in January 2027.
