With great shock and tremendous sadness I learned today that our brother James Parker tragically lost his life in a motorcycle accident last night. Our deepest condolences go out to his family.

To say he will be missed would be a criminal understatement. Not only was James a great union man, a leader, a friend, and the heart and soul of our picket line, he was one of the kindest and most decent people I have ever had the privelage of working with, learning from, and knowing.

Our thoughts are with his family during this time.

YOU WILL BE MISSED BROTHER! Curtis Williams, proud 814 member, served his union by being a trustee on the e-board and recently as a shop steward at UMC.

I remember Curtis talking about how important it is to educate our new generations of union members. He was very serious about that. His dedication to the union, and his passion, and his overall goodness as a human being will be missed.

We will remember you always BROTHER!
