This Black History Month, we celebrate history in the making.
Congratulations to Joy Spence — a true legend of the rum world — on being named to the Forbes 50 Over 50 list.

For nearly three decades, Joy has served as the world’s first female Master Blender, safeguarding Appleton Estate’s blending tradition at Jamaica’s oldest distillery. A trained chemist with a gift for refined flavor, she’s crafted more than 30 distinctive rums, wines, and liqueurs, earned Jamaica’s National Medal for Science and Technology, and inspired a new generation through the Joy Spence Rum Experience in Kingston.

This month, we honor her excellence, leadership, and enduring legacy.
