Unbelievably true! That was my takeaway from my podcast conversation with Kevin Deasy about what it truly takes to be a leader and—more importantly—what keeps them REAL.

We took a deep dive into why leadership is the polar opposite of "command and control" management. For Kevin, it’s not about the title on your business card; it’s about the self-awareness to listen more than you speak, and the humility to surround yourself with people who are even better than you are. McKinsey’s article on “Leading in the Age of AI” confirms what I believe: AI is transforming how we work, and it’s exposing exactly what technology cannot replace.

My 3 core thoughts:

✔️ Emotional Intelligence is no longer considered "soft skills"—they are your primary competitive advantage: Self Awareness, Empathy, Managing Emotions, Understanding Others.

✔️ Algorithms provide the "what," and only a self-aware leader can provide the "why."

✔️ In an AI-driven world, performance is unlocked through the strength of team dynamics.
