Seaboard Tank Systems Inc.
We're looking for a mechanically inclined persons to join our team of Corporate Aircraft, Fuel System Repair Specialists.
Seaboard Tank Systems is a small shop located at Islip Mac Arthur airport in Ronkonkoma, NY
We have entry and experienced position(s) available.
On the job training is available for the right person *(Must have mechanical ability)
Aircraft owner/operators will call with a an issue or inspection due on the aircraft... Once scheduled, we're off to the customers aircraft location, and continue with the service until the job is finished.
Most inspections/repairs take about a working week, some will carry through weekends, Overtime and Double time are paid accordingly. *All travel expenses are company paid including company trucks, gas/tolls, airfare, hotel, travel time, etc.
You will be working in/on the aircraft fuel tanks, generally inside the wings (confined space) yes we are climbing/working inside the tanks, so you will need to be able to FIT INSIDE the tank (MAX 38" waist).
-You'll be removing old sealants, drilling out and installing new fasteners, opening and closing access panels and resealing leaking areas by applying new sealant(s) etc.
Schedule(s) are posted as they become available.
99% of our work is done out side of New York area at customer locations all over the country (generally between Maine and Delaware).
Traveling to the customers aircraft locations is a MUST MUST!
**If you can't commit to being on the road for work for weeks at a time, there is no reason you should apply...
-If you're in school, have to get the kids off the bus, have a night time job etc. This job will NOT work for you!
At aircraft location, you will stay at local hotels (Holiday Inn / Marriott etc.) and usually room with another tech. You will be paid hourly plus $60 per day CASH food allowance.
We have been extremely busy, however I cant promise anyone 40 hours a week. We are an on demand company so we may have an over load of work one week where your working weekends and over time and then a short week to follow.
We service all types of corporate aircraft.
