We wish we were in Havana at the El Apartmento gallery where Ernesto Crespo Garcia's work is being exhibited.

The works in "Causalidad," or "Causality," are made from stolen frames from the cinema (Russian, German, and Swedish). Deliberately, Crespo selects images that are secondary within the film and makes them primary on his canvases.

On Wednesday, Central Park unveiled a statue of women's rights pioneers Susan B. Anthony, Elizabeth Cady Stanton and Sojourner Truth -- marking the park's first statue of real-life women.⁣

The statue comes 100 years after the passage of the 19th Amendment, which gave women the right to vote. It honors three key figures in the women's rights movement with roots in New York, each of whom died before American women gained the right to vote.⁣
