I’ve been thinking about gratitude, the kind you have to fight for when life feels heavy.
You may find yourself facing things you would have never chose.
I would never choose a cancer diagnosis.
I would never choose the pain of divorce or the uncertainty that comes with it.
And yet, even here, there have been gifts.
I’ve been blessed with meeting incredible people.
I’ve discovered an inner strength I didn’t know I had.
I’ve learned to truly value each day in a way I hadn't before.
I've learned to trust something greater than myself. My faith is continuing to grow everyday.
I’m still in the middle of it. Still navigating the unknown.
But I’m choosing to see the light.
Grateful for my higher power.
Grateful for the courage to walk away.
Grateful for the people who hold me up.
Grateful for the strength within me that refuses to quit.
If you’re going through something hard right now, pause for a moment and ask yourself:
Where are the hidden gifts?
They’re there. Even if they’re small. Even if they’re quiet.
This is your reminder to keep going.
