The Bronx has no shortage of resources. Why is it that sometimes it feels hard to find the information you need?
We have schools, libraries, colleges, businesses, community organizations, cultural spaces, and generations of people carrying knowledge and experience.
With all these resources, accessing, understanding, and knowing how to use them can still be difficult to navigate.
What if we looked at literacy differently?
Not just reading and writing, but formal and informal education, financial knowledge, digital skills, information, opportunity, and the ability to navigate the resources around us.
And what happens when we look at literacy across generations—what grandparents know, what parents are navigating, and what the next generation is learning, creating, and changing?
