Noted as one of St. Louis American’s “People on The Move,” Ian has been afforded great accolades for his style, work ethic, and showmanship. Growing up in church and at home afforded Ian to take in many genres of music, thanks to his parents, Ian has collected an eclectic array of influential artists behind and in front of the mic like George Benson, Brandy, APlus, Dolly Parton, The Clark Sisters,
B.B. King, Rodney Jerkins, Celine Dion, Eric Clapton, and still counting. As a teen, he found his love for songwriting after journaling on his Macintosh computer for so long, and since the age of 14 songwriting has been his form of therapy. Whether it be nature (“Open Road”), babies (“If You Want It”), or a crazy night out in NYC on New Year’s Eve (“Warm 4 Me”), Ian can be inspired by almost anything. With a plethora of demos, songs, and hooks to his name including a co-writing credit on St. Louis notable Tre G’s, “Throwin’ Shade,” he has penned his favorite genre a mixture of “ Pop Dance Soul” with a touch of theatrical expression. Ian’s proudest accomplishment has been the release of his E.P., Live 4 Now in which he has written three songs and vocally produced all the tracks. When he is not songwriting Ian is acting, choreographing, or teaching somewhere in the world. Official Website: www.iancoulterbuford.com
