Two young NYPD officers stand together on September 11, 2001, after 13 straight hours in the middle of unimaginable chaos. Their uniforms are covered in dust, their faces exhausted, but they find a brief moment to breathe. One tosses a football to the other, and for just a few seconds, they are no longer thinking about the destruction around them—they are simply two young cops playing catch.
