Today, June 1st, is a very special day for our family.
It is my mother’s birthday, and it is also International Children’s Day — a fitting coincidence for someone who dedicated her entire life to children, education, and future generations.
For more than 54 years, and 35 years as Principal of School No. 2 in Chisinau, Lidia Prokofievna Shutka helped shape the lives of thousands of students. Her work was never simply about teaching subjects. It was about building character, inspiring curiosity, and helping young people believe in themselves.
As we celebrate her birthday today, I am also happy to share an update on our documentary film:
AGE OF LEADERS: The Legacy of Director Shutka
After many months of filming interviews, collecting memories, archival photographs, and stories from former students, teachers, parents, and colleagues, the film is now in active editing and post-production.
This documentary is more than the story of one remarkable educator. It is a reflection on leadership, values, education, and the lasting impact that a dedicated teacher can have on generations of children.
Happy Birthday, Mom. Thank you for your example, your strength, your wisdom, and your lifelong devotion to education.

A trip to Moldova and a reunion with Petr and Svetlana Gozun reignited a childhood passion I thought I had left behind — dancing. 💃 #
Three months of intense training later, I stepped onto the competition floor and came home with:
🥉 Bronze category — Standard Competition. Bronze medal
🥇silver category— Latin Championship,gold medal Silver — Latin Championship
It is never too late to return to something that once made your soul sing. Your body remembers. Your joy remembers. All you have to do is begin. 🌟

Art season has officially opened at Zen House Gardens ✨
There is something truly magical when a creative soul meets a space designed for peace and inspiration. Our beloved Zen guests James and Liz picked up a brush and let the garden speak through them — and just like that, the season began. 🌸🎨
The stillness, the light, the blossoms… Zen House was made for moments like this. For art that pours out when you slow down. For joy found in color. For love that blooms when beauty surrounds you. 🤍
