"What separates a designer from other people? All the design-thinking-two-day-boot-camps, visualization-in-a-day-workshops and design-sprint-weeks might lead to the impression that everyone can design. Everybody can design and that is cool. I’m all for co-creation, drawing, and reawakening our inner children to become more creative. But I like to compare this to sports. Anyone can go and sit in a race car, but you cannot compare this to the level of Max Verstappen — someone who has trained for this his whole life. Apart from talent, the difference comes down to training. Design and creativity use all kinds of muscles you can train. And what separates designers from other people is that they have been training their design and creativity muscles for a long time https://bit.ly/3R1OBA5

Iris Apfel, a New York society matron and interior designer who late in life knocked the socks off the straight fashion world with a brash bohemian style that mixed hippie vintage and haute couture, found treasures in flea markets and reveled in contradictions, died on Friday in her home in Palm Beach, Florida. She was 102.

MBCC is used on an as-needed basis by Homeschool New York / Loving Education at Home (LEAH), the largest homeschool support group in NYS. They support the cost to operate MBCC for their usage. Parents Instructing Challenged Children (PICC) Supports & Services, the special needs / struggling learner outreach ministry of LEAH, provides testing, programs, consulting, and resources to member families. MBCC provides PICC Supports & Services "a lovely, comfortable, safe, and productive space for student testing and parent consultations." They consider MBCC to be "a true blessing to northern Columbia County and the surrounding communities!"
