Yanez Fine Art Conservation
Yanez Fine Art Conservation founded by David Yanez, specializes in the conservation and restoration of fine paintings. Using the latest research, methods, techniques and materials in the field, we maintain a museum quality approach to solving the unique problems that compromise the condition of most paintings. We treat all paintings with the same quality of care and attention that we would give to paintings by well known artists. Our treatment approach adheres to the long-standing philosophy of minimal intervention, as to not interfere with and maintain the original artistic intent. In 2020, David Yanez founder of Yanez Fine Art Conservation will be celebrating his 30th year as a paintings conservator in New York City. Before starting his own practice, David started out as an apprentice and worked his way up through many of the best paintings conservation studios in New York. Combined with his masters and bachelor’s degrees in fine arts, the knowledge, experience, techniques, artistic skills, and craftsmanship gained throughout his career are rare amongst painting conservators. He has restored invaluable paintings from 16th century to contemporary, for major auction houses, institutions, dealers and collectors. Unlike the large commercial and academic conservation studios, David makes house calls and brings a life-time of experience and personal service to your door step. When experience matters, don’t trust your paintings to just anyone. Here is a list of some of the most famous artists of whose paintings he has restored.
