Holiday cheer should never cost the Earth 🌍✨ Unfortunately, the holidays create an additional 25 million tons of waste in the U.S. alone. Let's all give the middle finger to consumerism and corporate greed that profits from it, and choose to be more sustainable this year!

Here are some actions you can take:

1. Reduce the amount of gifts you buy. This guarantees less waste and money saved ;)

2. Buy second hand. Thrift shops, antique shops, and vintage shops are filled with amazing items that are not only unique but usually more affordable than new ones.

3. Shop local and small. Instead of purchasing items from big retailers, support local businesses and artists by getting your gifts from their shops. Your order won't mean anything to Amazon, but it will make a difference to a small business!

4. Gift experiences instead of material gifts. Make memories by gifting experiences such as concert tickets, spa days, outdoor adventures, and more!

Let's celebrate responsibly and reduce our environmental footprint. From mindful gift choices to eco-friendly decorations, every small decision adds up to a greener, more sustainable season. 🎄

Our planet is under attack by the personal care products we use every day. Did you know 70 percent of plastic packaging (including personal care products) in the U.S. ends up in landfills?
We at ekosfere are a small grassroots company working to set an example and reduce the use of plastics and plastic waste. If we can do it, why can’t billion-dollar companies do the same thing?
