One of the most common questions I get is, where do I even find clients as a virtual assistant?
So let me break it down for you right here. 👇
Finding clients is honestly one of the parts of this business that intimidates people the most. Especially if you are an introvert like me. But here is what I know for sure; you CANNOT wait for clients to find you.
💻 Here is where to start looking online:
LinkedIn — this is where I found most of my early clients. Search for people posting about needing help and reach out directly. Post consistently about your services and your niche.
Facebook groups — local business groups and entrepreneur communities are gold. Someone in the group always knows someone who needs help.
Fiverr and Upwork — built-in audiences already looking to hire. Great for beginners who want a head start.
Indeed and ZipRecruiter — search virtual assistant under remote jobs. More people are posting there than you think.
Instagram and TikTok — post content that attracts inbound interest. Just make sure you are actually monitoring your comments and DMs.
One thing I want to be clear about: reach out with intention, not just volume. Look for people who are already signaling that they need help. A warm lead will always convert faster than a cold one.
In Chapter 10 of the book I go deep on all of this.
