Irving Harvey, a NYC-based video color grading and finishing company, is seeking an experienced systems administrator to lead the systems department. Irving Harvey is a small team with a large emphasis on hardware capability, and we are looking for someone to facilitate and lead those efforts. During the covid-19 pandemic our company has switched to a primarily remote structure, but now that a return to office activity is on the horizon, we are looking for a team member to lead the transition back and in the development of a new facility.

Responsibilities include:
● Management and deployment of our network, servers, and workstations
● Management of data flow and archival
● Supervision of data security and compliance with security requirements in coordination
with security vendors
● Administration of office systems including access control, printers, and phone systems
● Communication with vendors for support and repairs
● Research and proposals for infrastructure improvements and optimization
● Technical support and troubleshooting
Required skills/experience includes:
● 3+ years systems experience
● Bachelor's degree or higher in related field
● Excellent communication and problem solving skills
● MacOS administration and MDM
● 10-gigabit and faster networking architecture
● Security protocol
● Excellent communication skills
● Data backup and archival best practices
● Routing/firewall configuration
● Server colocation and internet networking
● VPN administration
● PostgreSQL
● FreeNAS/TrueNAS
● Active Directory
● Computer hardware repair and maintenance
● Cloud storage
● Virtualization
● VoIP phone systems
● Access control systems
● Google suite

Additionally, helpful experience includes:
● Airtable
● Experience in video post production environments
● Video software including DaVinci Resolve, Adobe Premiere Pro, and Avid Media
Composer
● Video codecs and signal management
● Website management
● Squarespace
● Video streaming
● KVM Matrices
● Asset management
● Cloud compute
● Linux

This position will be required on-site to manage the deployment and function of the various systems. In the immediate, time will be split between work-from-home and at our TriBeCa, Manhattan facility and off-site Cypress Hills, Brooklyn location. When we open our new facility, full-time attendance will be required. Business hours are 10:30 AM to 6:30 PM M-F.
