Today feels like the perfect day to reintroduce myself. My name is Leah Plevrites and I am the founder and creative director of studioBIG.

Many of you know me for my commercial design work — restaurants, hospitality spaces, and retail projects. But residential design has always been just as much a part of what I do.

I love creating homes that feel deeply personal to the people living in them — spaces that support everyday life while still feeling thoughtful and beautiful.

As a woman in interior architecture and design, building a career in this field has been both challenging and incredibly rewarding. I’m grateful for the clients, collaborators, and other women in this industry who continue to inspire me. 💪🏻✨

Mudroom design ideas worth saving for your next renovation.

This custom mudroom was designed to bring order to the daily routine—with integrated storage, warm brass accents, and deep navy millwork that grounds the space.

Backpacks, sneakers, and everyday chaos finally have a place.

Thoughtful storage above keeps seasonal gear tucked away, while the bench and baskets make daily comings and goings easy for the whole family.

Tucked just beyond the mudroom is a small powder room that adds a bit of pattern and personality to the entry.

Functional first, but always beautiful.

Nothing helps sell more product than beautiful design for brick and mortar shopping. And in this case, our custom millwork and signage design for .pharmacy do just that. It’s incredible how the proper storage, display and way-finding at a beauty counter can instantly transform the vibe a customer feels.
