🌟 Celebrating the Power, Purpose, and Presence of Women Over 50 🌟

Congratulations to all the phenomenal women recognized in Forbes’ 50 Over 50! Each one proves that purpose, impact, and leadership only grow stronger with time.

It was great spending time with:
✨ Tracy Vontélle Green of VONTELLE Eyewear — redefining representation and style.
✨ Raquel Oden of HSBC USA — elevating financial empowerment and leadership.
✨ Michelle Miller — telling stories that inspire truth and connection.
✨ Mika Brzezinski — through Know Your Value, reminding women everywhere to own their worth.

As a Wealth Advisor and Minister, I’m inspired by how these women lead with both vision and values — building legacy, creating impact, and reminding us that our best chapters are still ahead.

Here’s to every woman embracing her power and purpose — at every age. 💫

As the Chaplain for the Metropolitan Chapter of Jack and Jill of America, I sent the following message to our mothers via our weekly newsletter. I thought it would be great to share with all mothers, fathers and everyone balancing life.

“As we move into August, I invite you to see this month as a sacred pause—a God-given moment to rest, reflect, and restore. Before the uniforms need to be ironed, the calendars fill, and the sports and dance activities get in full swing, I encourage you to be still and know that your well-being matters deeply to God.

Earlier this summer, my family walked through an unexpected valley with Marcos’s health scare. In that tender season, your support, prayers and love carried us. It reminded me that life is fragile—and so are we. As shared in our national publication, Execucom, we have lost 67 family members (mothers, fathers) in Jack and Jill this year. Their absence is a call to slow down, check in, and care for the vessel God gave you.

So, dear sisters, make time to rest—not just your bodies, but your spirits. Reconnect with your breath, your purpose, and your peace. Whether it’s in quiet prayer, a morning walk, or simply doing nothing for a while—let it be holy. You are not just mothers—you are daughters of the Most High, and your soul deserves rest too.

In faith, love, and light,

Chaplain Vanessa Lindley”

Honoring the Legacy of Malcolm-Jamaal Warner

It’s not every day that a piece of fabric carries so much weight — history, personality, and presence. This gold satin shirt with bold navy accents instantly takes us back to one of Malcolm-Jamaal Warner’s most iconic moments on television — that unforgettable episode that made us laugh, think, and connect more deeply with who he was both on and off screen.

As we mourn his passing, I want to honor not just the entertainer, but the entrepreneur. Malcolm didn’t stop at the stage or screen. He built a legacy of creative ownership, producing, directing, and writing on his own terms. He showed us that it’s possible to be an artist and a business — to control your narrative and your net worth.

As a wealth advisor, I often work with creatives and founders who carry both vision and vulnerability — the joy of doing what they love and the challenge of making it sustainable. Malcolm’s journey reminds us of the importance of legacy planning, asset ownership, and financial clarity — especially for those whose careers are built on creativity.

Let’s keep learning from leaders like him. And let’s make sure our own legacies — whether in business, art, or community — are protected and planned.

Rest in power, Malcolm. Thank you for the inspiration, the laughter, and the lessons.

This past weekend reminded me—deeply and personally—why I do what I do.

I attended the funeral of a 45-year-old husband and father. The grief in the room was raw, the questions heavy.

The very next day, I had the honor of officiating the funeral of an 83-year-old father of a dear friend. This ceremony was different. It was still filled with tears, but there was also peace—his life had been lived fully and intentionally.

In both sacred spaces, I was reminded of how closely my work as a minister and a wealth advisor are intertwined.

As a minister, I offer spiritual support during life’s most tender moments.
As a wealth advisor, I help families prepare for those very moments—financially, emotionally, and strategically.

I help clients answer the hard questions before life asks them.
✔️ Is your family financially secure if something happens to you?
✔️ Do your legacy plans reflect your values?
✔️ Are you living in alignment with what truly matters?

Life doesn’t give us warnings, but it does give us choices. Let’s choose to prepare—with grace, with wisdom, and with love.

If you’re thinking about how to plan for life’s transitions, I’m here to walk that path with you.

What an inspiring morning of conversation and collaboration!

Thank you to everyone who joined us for an engaging breakfast session at our office, where we tackled the pressing challenges facing the nonprofit sector and explored innovative ideas for philanthropic resilience.

With ongoing Federal budget shifts and policy changes, foundation funders, donors, and nonprofit leaders are asking: How can we continue to make a lasting impact?

Our expert panel shared invaluable perspectives on:
• Strengthening financial resilience through change management
• Maximizing donor-advised funds and foundation giving strategies
• Leveraging relational capital, pooled funds, and recoverable grants

The nonprofit community’s ability to adapt and innovate remains our greatest strength. We’re grateful to all who contributed to this discussion, and we look forward to working together to drive meaningful change.

Last night my team and I joined The Hewitt School for their benefit at The Plaza where they announced our collaboration. See announcement below. For those who have been connected with for the past 30 years, you know this is near and dear to me! I am always working towards an equitable future for us all!

“The Hewitt School is proud to partner with Bernstein Private Wealth Management (Bernstein) to provide the next generation of girls and young women with financial literacy. To launch this relationship, The Hewitt School and Bernstein will host a “Women, Wealth, Philanthropy, and Purpose-Driven Investment” event on April 7, 2025.

The importance of financial literacy and education is critical among our next generation of women leaders, whose financial influence is projected to grow substantially in the coming years. This collaboration marks a pivotal step forward in addressing the need for financial education among young women to foster a new generation of leaders who are informed, responsible, and prepared to confidently navigate their wealth and financial futures.

According to a report by McKinsey & Company, by 2030, American women are expected to control the lion’s share of $30 trillion in financial assets owned by baby boomers. This shift is fueled by a notable 30% increase in married women making household financial decisions compared to just five years ago. Additionally, younger women are becoming more engaged, with a remarkable 70% of female millennials reporting that they now take the reins for all financial decisions, according to recent studies by Boston Consulting Group.“

🌟 Proud to have been a Bronze Sponsor at the EMINAE Business Acquisition Symposium in Manhattan! 🌟

This event was a fantastic opportunity to connect with leaders, entrepreneurs, and experts who are shaping the future of business acquisitions. It was inspiring to be surrounded by a dynamic group of professionals who understand the power of strategic growth and collaboration.

A big thank you to Kyle Griffith, CBI, CMAP and the EMINAE network for hosting such a valuable event, and to everyone I had the pleasure of meeting.
