A recent installation of a Gracie wallpaper in Oklahoma City featuring graceful birds and flowering trees on a rich green background. We love how this classic design brings the beauty of nature into the room. Installed by Scenic Wallpaper.

The Zuber showroom in Chicago is set up to show clients a range of panoramic papers (as well as repeats, borders, dados, etc), including the magnificent Isola Bella, installed here by Scenic Wallpaper.

The 742 antique woodblock-printed design was installed above a Zuber dado, with additional Mauny repeat samples displayed on the opposite wall.

A little bit of nature, brought inside. Scenic Wallpaper installed this Plum Blossoms wallpaper on a single wall on Fifth Avenue, overlooking Central Park. Set against a silver metallic background, the handpainted design was custom tailored to fit the space.

Gracie’s To***co Silhouette adds a beautiful touch to this Greenwich, CT dining room. The handpainted floral design features butterflies and flowering trees in an ivory silhouette against a warm gold background.

At the edge of the world - the Arctic scene from our restoration of the Mellon family’s Zuber Les Zones Terrestres presented unique challenges. Areas of missing artwork needed to be restored back to the original.

Using historic reference images from detailed photographs of the original design, our artist restored the edge of the scene, including the sky, sea, and the side of the ship, restoring continuity.

Swipe through to watch the transformation unfold.

Where one landscape meets another - in our restoration of Zuber’s Les Zones Terrestres for the Mellon family, a missing tree at the transition between two climatic zones interrupted the flow of the panorama.

Using original references, our artist reconstructed the tree and surrounding landscape to reconnect the scenes, preserving the scale and story of Zuber’s design.

Tailored to fit the space, this hand-painted "Badminton" by de Gournay was installed by Scenic Wallpaper in an Upper East Side apartment.

One of the earliest designs, Badminton takes inspiration from an antique Chinese export paper and the historic interiors of English country houses, including the Leicester Bedroom at Chatsworth House. Tree peonies and tulip trees stretch across an open ground, with birds and butterflies set between the branches, giving the pattern its light and airy feel.

Scenic Wallpaper transformed this L'Hindoustan wallpaper into portable art by mounting the panels onto custom boards. Originally installed by us more than 25 years ago, we carefully removed from the wallpaper and reimagined it for a new, modern setting. Mounting wallpaper on boards allows both new and antique papers to be rehung as artwork, offering a flexible and enduring way to live with scenic wallpaper beyond a single space.

Hopefully you saw us in AD Pro! If not, take a look at our restoration of Zuber’s Les Zones Terrestres for the Mellon family. This pastoral Swiss scene, centered on grazing cattle, was missing a large section of artwork at the center of the composition.

After mounting the panel on boards, it was carefully stabilized and restored. Our artist reconstructed the missing imagery and matched more than 50 colors in this section alone to bring the scene back to life.

Swipe to see the before and after.

More images and info about the project are on our website, with additional coverage in AD Pro - links in Bio.
