Often what we need is someone with a keen eye and kind heart to say, "The salesperson at the shop lied to you--those jeans don't work. Here's what would look great on you!"

Home for the holidays. Snaps from today. 1. Mom 2. Mom eating a slice of fellinis special. We’d missed that place. 3. Fellinis sign. Duh. 4. This hilarious sign on the side of the building. 5. Reba’s ready for Christmas. 6. Lounging in the den we heard Reba exclaim, “THE CAKE IS ON FIRE! THE CAKE IS ON FIRE! I told her to serve it as a Basque Poundcake—tho I don’t believe it’ll be as delicious as a Basque cheesecake. 7. Me and Simey. I’m wearing Simeys too small Santa hat he wanted me to wear. 8-10 Cookies Simey and I decorated after dinner. Tomorrow night—gingerbread house!

The last couple of Christmases have absolutely sucked (thanks, dad) but this year has been full of a lot of joy. Simon has my old stuffed owl from when I was a kid. He’s been taking it with him everywhere since Ingot to town.
