Getting ready to fly United Airlines . . . I wonder what they are going to do to this guy?
UPDATE 04-14-17: United CEO Oscar Munoz apologized on national TV to Dr. Dao for the treatment he received onboard the United flight which was operated by Republic Airlines, and promised United would not to use law enforcement for similar situations in the future. The four seats the airline needed were for Republic Airline's crew members and not an overbook situation. The security officers in the video were from Chicago Aviation Security who normally do not have jurisdiction aboard aircraft for non-criminal reasons. Dr. Dao suffered a concussion, broken nose and lost two teeth in the incident. The video was viewed almost 1-billion times in Asia on the Weibo media platform. And, in unrelated news a man on a United Airlines flight travelling in business class was stung by a inch and a half scorpion. Richard Bell, who flies 150,000 miles a year on United was treated by EMT on the plane and is expected to be fine. He said that he is "a little astonished" the airline has not contacted him directly about the incident. Interesting . . . I guess they were busy with Dr. Dao or thought that it was his pet scorpion.
