Marketing pet peeves we can’t stay silent about. 😅

After years of helping small businesses grow on social media, there are a few things we see over and over again. And honestly? We can’t keep quiet about them anymore.

A caption that’s nothing but hashtags.
 A trending sound used two months after the trend is over.
 An account on every platform, but consistent on none.
 Captions that were very clearly written by ChatGPT.
 A different logo, font & color palette in every post.
 And the classic 9pm “wait, did we post today?” panic. (We’ve all been there!!)

Here’s the thing: none of these make you a bad business owner. Running a business is a lot, and social media usually ends up at the bottom of the to-do list.

But your social media is often the first impression people have of what you’ve built. It deserves a little strategy and a lot of care. 💙

The good news is every one of these is fixable, and most of them are easier to fix than you’d think.

Sometimes my job in marketing actually puts me on the other side of the camera. 🎥

Had such a great time joining NBC 6 South Florida South Florida Live in Miami to talk about our client NELLA and something I think so many women can relate to:

We take care of everyone else. The schedules. The appointments. The family. The work. The endless lists. And somehow our own health ends up at the bottom.

That became our starting point for the segment: back to school, back to routines…and back to YOU.

One of my favorite parts of marketing is finding that intersection between what a brand needs to communicate and what people actually care about right now.

Because nobody wakes up wanting to hear a product pitch. They care about solving a problem in their life. And when you can connect those two things, that’s when a brand story really starts to resonate.

Instagram just updated its algorithm to prioritize original content over reposts 🤍✨
