Easy to get cynical when the chemical companies are behind an initiative . Real solution is educating society in how to manage all waste products : Food, Paper, Plastic, Glass, Metal etc... Responsibility belongs to parents and schools . Schools spending a 1/2 hour per week with pre-school thru 12th graders would go a long way in cleaning up streets , sidewalks , rivers, oceans, beaches, subways etc...

Lets start with teaching children and adults how damaging litter is to our environment . Once everyone understands litter, than we can teach the importance of recycling and reusing .

Litter is the issue ! Recycling solutions are available for all plastic materials . Educating the world population to 'Say No to Littering our earth ' is the problem. Plastics uses less energy and then any other form of packaging or material when it's produced . Carbon Footprint of plastics is a fraction to the 10th decimal point of what paper and other materials contribute . Let's get those Amazon trucks with all of those packages off the road and support the brick and mortar stores in communities that helped build this country !
100,000 plastic bags can fit on one standard Pallet in a warehouse . 100,000 boxes would require 20,000 square feet of warehouse space. Think about the trucks on the roads delivering those boxes and their contribution to our Global Warming issues .
