Hey New York nonprofits (and nonprofit workers)! Don't forget that New York’s minimum wage increased to $16-per-hour in New York City, Westchester, and Long Island, and to $15-per-hour for the rest of the state, effective January 1, 2024. Minimum wage will go up by $0.50 in 2025 and 2026, with inflation based adjustments starting in 2027. For more information, see the announcement from NY State Governor Kathy Hochul’s office.
