And while this post may be a little longer than usual, we have a few things to share as we get ready for the fall season.
Five years ago, we started with a pretty simple goal: ๐ก๐๐ฅ๐ฉ ๐๐๐ฆ๐ข๐ฅ๐ข๐๐ฌ ๐๐ง๐ ๐ก๐จ๐ฌ๐ญ ๐ข๐ง๐๐ซ๐๐๐ข๐๐ฅ๐ ๐๐ฌ๐ญ๐๐ญ๐ ๐ฌ๐๐ฅ๐๐ฌ.
Five years later, that hasnโt changed.
Somewhere along the way, a family said something to us that has always stuck: โI didnโt know we needed you until we needed you.โ
We get that.
For many families, the thought of sorting through a loved oneโs lifetime of belongings can simply be overwhelming. Thatโs where we come in. Weโve always believed our job is about more than selling things. Itโs about helping families through the process thoughtfully, respectfully, and with an appreciation for the life and memories.
Five years have flown byโand we think thatโs a pretty good thing.
Whether youโve been coming to our sales for five years, five months, or youโre still waiting to attend your first sale, you have our sincere gratitude. Youโve helped turn something into a community we genuinely look forward to seeing sale after sale.
Weโve always liked to think of our sales as more than just sales. Theyโre three-day eventsโa constantly changing mix of people and things, where collectors, resellers, decorators, treasure hunters, and the simply curious can walk through the door and find that one thing they didnโt even know they needed.
Behind the scenes, these past few months have been busy! Weโre making some exciting updates that we wanted to share:

After five years, we felt it was time to give our brand a little refresh.
Our updated logo is cleaner, simpler, and a little more refinedโa better reflection of the company weโve grown into while still feeling very much like us.
The look may be changing, but what matters isnโt.
Same Mikes. Same commitment to families. Same three-day sales. Same hunt for something you didnโt know you needed.
Just a fresh look for the next chapter of EM Estate Services.

If youโve been to one of our sales, you knowโand trust us, we knowโcheckout can sometimes be the least exciting part of the day.
Even with four cashiers working, there can (and usually does) end up being a line winding its way through the house. Weโre incredibly appreciative of everyoneโs patience and good humor while waitingโeven when Mike is passing out cookies to keep the peace. ๐ช
So, weโve been working on it.
This fall, weโre introducing a new electronic checkout process designed to reduce checkout times and keep the line moving.
Detailed receipts arenโt going anywhere. We believe itโs important that you leave our sales with an itemized record of exactly what you purchasedโand equally important that the families we represent have complete transparency for every transaction.
Weโll debut the new system at our first sale back and canโt wait.
And speaking of our first saleโฆ

Over the summer, weโve worked with several families who didnโt have quite enough for a traditional full-house estate saleโbut they had far too many amazing things for us to let them pass you by.
So we decided to bring them all together.
Our first event of the fall will be an off-site, multi-estate sale in Newark!
We love these sales because you never quite know whatโs going to show up. Inventory from multiple estates means an incredibly eclectic mixโall packed under one roof.
And when we say eclectic, we mean it.
Everything from fly swatters to antique furniture.
Weโve already started setting up, and this one is shaping up to be a great way to kick off the fall season.
Whether youโre searching for something specific, furnishing a home, buying for resale, adding to a collection, or simply showing up because you enjoy the hunt, there will be plenty to discover.
