Jacob Martin Product of McKinlay Vineyards Jacob Martin Kinne was born to make great wine.

He grew up tending the land and pressing the grapes at McKinlay Vineyards, and his middle name derives from the pioneer winemaker Martin Ray. In 2010, after a stint on the international professional water polo circuit, Jake returned to his roots and got down to winemaking full time. He learned the tricks of the trade from his father, esteemed vintner Matt Kinne and founder of McKinlay Vineyards, o

ne of the oldest and most respected wineries in Oregon. With the launch of his own namesake wine, Jacob Martin, Jake strives to honor his family’s tradition while bringing his own creativity to the table. He is kicking off his label with a Chardonnay made from 30-year-old vines planted by his father. The style is fresh and bright, and he aims to show its sense of place by not overwhelming the wine with oak. In the coming years, Jake plans to continue making great wine while connecting with the public and becoming a leader in the next generation of Oregon winemakers.
