Adelsheim Vineyard was founded with an optimistic spirit and a lofty dream: to create world-class wines in an undiscovered wine region, the Chehalem Mountains of Oregon's Willamette Valley. Luck, fate, and a single-minded determination to make world-class wine in Oregon led David and Ginny Adelsheim to purchase their first 19 acres just outside Newberg, Oregon in 1971. Drawn to the uniqueness of the land and its proximity to Portland, it was here they decided to stake their claim, plant their first rows of Pinot noir along Quarter Mile Lane, and establish what would become the Chehalem Mountains’ first-ever winery in 1978—Adelsheim.

Where W**e & Art Meet 🍁

Join us on November 11th for an immersive tasting experience with Portland Art Museum and Willamette Valley W**eries. The event will feature w**es from 54 Willamette Valley w**eries, 6 PNW artists, seasonal culinary offerings, live artist at work, interactive activations, and more.

This isn’t a gallery opening with w**e service, and it’s not a tasting with art on the walls. It’s a genuine fusion in which both crafts illuminate each other.

VIP Admission – $135 (5:00 - 9:00 PM)
Includes one hour of exclusive early access, premium tasting opportunities, exclusive passed hors d’oeuvres, and more intimate opportunities to connect with featured artists and w**ery representatives before general admission begins.

General Admission – $105 (6:00 - 9:00 PM)
Includes event entry, w**e tastings, seasonal culinary offerings, access to artist experiences, live demonstrations, and interactive
activations throughout the evening.

Alcohol-Free General Admission (No W**e Tasting) – $55
Includes event entry, access to artist experiences and interactive activations, non-alcoholic beverage offerings, and seasonal culinary selections.

We’ve had such a blast hiking with everyone who joined us this summer! Our partnership with our neighbors at Cooper Mountain Vineyards made the experience even sweeter.

Sunday mornings, beginning May 3rd and running through the end of summer, we’re offering a guided 2 mile hike through the beautiful Chehalem Mountains.

Your journey begins at Adelsheim and winds through our estate vines to neighboring Cooper Mountain, where the story continues. You’ll pause for a seated tasting, giving you a fresh perspective and a deeper look at a neighboring producer’s approach to w**emaking.

Get back on the trail and continue engaging your senses by sampling fresh fruit, listening to our guides share stories about vineyard life, and taking in the landscape - all while clocking your daily steps!

The return to Adelsheim brings the experience full circle with another seated tasting and an opportunity to reflect on everything you’ve seen, heard and tasted throughout the day.

This unique opportunity not only highlights the fruits of the land, but underscores the shared commitment to collaboration within the Willamette Valley w**e community.
