Public Notice: Water utility systems across the state are struggling to keep up with demand. This is all due to the extreme cold over the past few days. Residential water leaks from frozen pipes, dripping faucets to prevent water leaks, and power outages have created a perfect storm of higher than normal water usage.

To help them recover, please limit your water usage as much as you can. Wait a few days to wash clothes, take shorter showers, turn off automated irrigation systems and check your home for leaks. If you see excessive water in someone’s yard that could be from a broken pipe, try to notify them (if you know them well enough) or the water company if no one is home or occupying the residence.

THIS IS NOT A BOIL WATER NOTICE!!! If that is necessary, your water utility company will notify you. This is just an advisory message to try to conserve water.
