300 South Media Group invites writers to submit poetry and prose for the upcoming anthology, Between Heartbeats.
Time is the silent architect of our lives: an unrelenting river that races through moments of pure joy, laughter shared under endless summer skies, stolen glances that linger forever, yet crawls with agonizing slowness through grief, waiting, and the long shadows of loss.
Time warps beneath the pull of memory: a forgotten song, a faded photograph, or the scent of rain on old pavement can hurl us backward, making decades vanish in an instant and reviving colors we thought lost forever.
Time heals what we believed unbreakable, softens sharp edges into gentle scars, and cycles through seasons of birth, bloom, decay, and renewal.
In its deepest paradoxes, time exposes our fragile humanity and how a single heartbeat can stretch into eternity during crisis, how years dissolve into blurred routines, and how it weaves invisible threads connecting ancestors’ stories to dreams yet unborn.
We invite poets and writers to delve into these multifaceted layers of time: its swift and merciless flight, its stubborn stillness, its illusory vastness, and the indelible marks it etches on the soul.
This anthology is open to all voices ready to capture time’s fleeting essence.
Whether through verse or narrative, we welcome pieces that capture the endless connections we have with Time.
This collection is meant to create a space for reflection, vulnerability, and connection to the limited sands that run through our own hourglass.
