For all the runny noses,
For all the croopy coughs,
For all the Ms. Jackie I had that first,
For all the poopy diapers,
For all the time outs,
For all the tears,
For all the teething babies,
For all the I don't feel goods,
For all the tattletales,
For all the I don't want to take a nap,
For everytime the State Inspector shows up for an unannounced visit,
For all the toys all over,
For all the long hours with no breaks.
I get.....
Ms.Jackie I love you
Ms.Jackie can I spend the night
Ms .Jackie will you cuddle me
Ms. Jackie can I hug you
Ms. Jackie you are beautiful
Ms. Jackie I love our craft
Ms. Jackie thank you for helping me
Ms.Jackie look what I made you
Ms. Jackie you are my favorite
Ms. Jackie I want to live with you
And my favorite part is the texts and the gifts from the parents telling me they love the feeling they have when they drop their kids off with me knowing they are safe and loved and well taken care of.
I absolutely love what I do. It brings me happiness to help children grow. Lately I have had some challenges with my job and it is really putting me to the test. I am being audited for the 2nd year in a row and my relicense is this month. Big inspection and a lot of paperwork for my inspector to go through. They are here all day that day.
Both these things are due this month. So for those who say I don't have a real job, and for those who "babysit" more than 2 children in your homes, I will keep going. One day at a time and I know I got this because well I am not a quitter and I always am put to the test. I have always GOT THIS!!
My job has a lot of stress that no one has any idea about and long hours but with every stress filled day are the kids that just look at you with love in their eyes and give you that extra big hug.
Today is National Provider Appreciation Day and I would like to say Thank you to all the caregivers out there and teachers for loving the most important gift to so many....someone's child❤💙
