Over the last six months on any given day, you can find 11 - 30 job requisitions for diversity and inclusion position (peaking out at 92 one day I looked at job boards).

Organizations that could afford the role were hyper-hiring for that position in light of the cultural upheaval globally.

On a recent forum call, my wife had (she's a Director of Human Resources) with a group of F500 Chief Diversity Officers they discussed some of the challenges of being in their roles;

- Lack of adequate budget

- Lack of adequate staff

- Lack of fully engaged senior leaders and sponsors at the CEO and board level

Each CDO had similar issues, in varying degrees, within their organizations.

Diversity, equity and inclusion work is no longer just a priority. It is a necessity. To create a successful and scalable approach to organizational transformation, we must spend time and efforts to set those leading this work up for success.
