A client was recently charged with robbery and vandalism. The victim and the client knew each other. It was actually an argument over money ($20,000) owed by the alleged victim. I worked quickly to disprove the allegation of robbery. I did a background on the alleged victim, conducted interviews, and met with the case detective and his sergeant. The detective chose not to file the robbery charge. The vandalism will probably be reduced to a misdemeanor. Case closed.

I am very blessed and very busy. I get 2-5 calls every day from potential new clients. Sometimes I can help people and sometimes I refer them to an attorney because they need an attorney more than they need a PI. The other day I spent about 30 minutes talking to a Hispanic husband and father. He wanted me to help him catch his wife cheating. I discovered he had a lot of turmoil in his life and a lot of regrets and heartache. I think I am about twice his age. I convinced him he was wasting money if he hired me. He already knew the truth. I told him what he needed was to find a marriage and family counselor or therapist. I told him that he could not control what his wife did, but he could control what he did. He needed to be a better man (Long Story) and a better father to his kids. I told him he should consult with a family law attorney so if a divorce was inevitable, he would know his options. KNOWLEDGE IS POWER. He was on the verge of tears, I think when we ended the call. Money is important. Helping someone who is hurting is more important. Let's try to be kind.
