If you’re designated as a 501c3 organization, Rosie’s Gaming and Colonial Downs, “accepts donation requests to help provide funding to local non-profit organizations and/or group.” It is their goal “to partner with community organizations to help meet their mission and improve quality of life in [the] community.”

🔹Applicants must have tax-exempt status under section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code, and must be physically located in the city, town or region where Colonial Downs has a business interest.

🔹501c(3) or 501c(4)designated organizations should complete a donation request form and submit it to Colonial Downs with additional partnership/levels of participation and recognition for each attached.

🔹Requests should be made no later than 45 days prior to the start of the quarter in which the donation is needed.

If you’re looking for funding for the first quarter of 2024, the application deadline is November 15, 2023.

Last week, we launched a new division, 𝑪𝒖𝒍𝒕𝒊𝒗𝒂𝒕𝒆 𝑪𝒐𝒎𝒎𝒖𝒏𝒊𝒕𝒚!

The mission of 𝑪𝒖𝒍𝒕𝒊𝒗𝒂𝒕𝒆 𝑪𝒐𝒎𝒎𝒖𝒏𝒊𝒕𝒚 is simple: equip and mobilize community-based and grassroots organizations for greater impact on individuals, families, and neighborhoods. 𝑪𝒖𝒍𝒕𝒊𝒗𝒂𝒕𝒆 𝑪𝒐𝒎𝒎𝒖𝒏𝒊𝒕𝒚 provides training, coaching, and consulting support to organizational leaders and their teams.

Within the last two years, we’ve worked with community-based organizations based in Newport News, VA; Atlanta, GA; St. Louis, MO; and Austin, TX.

On July 7, we will celebrate our 11th year of providing training, coaching, and consulting support to various government entities and community-based organizations. It's been an amazing journey filled with opportunities to work with clients such as the Virginia Department of Criminal Justice Services, the City of Hampton, the National Organizational of Victim Assistance, and the White House Community Violence Intervention Collaborative.

As we continue to explore how to grow and serve more government agencies and organizations, we are excited to announce the development of a new division: 𝑪𝒖𝒍𝒕𝒊𝒗𝒂𝒕𝒆 𝑪𝒐𝒎𝒎𝒖𝒏𝒊𝒕𝒚!!

✍🏾Today, we remember the life and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.

There are many leadership lessons and insights we glean from his life, and they are still applicable today. These lessons provide guideposts we can all follow to be more effective leaders.

Achieving effectiveness as a leader is an ongoing process of personal, spiritual, and skills development. In this process, we embrace the ups and downs as we continually strive to lead in transformative and empowering ways, that leaves a path that others can follow.
