Earlier this month, Mauna Loa on the big island of Hawaii had a historic and short lived eruption. Luckily, no homes were damaged as a result of this eruption. And even more exciting was Karly and I managed to fly out to see the excitement. I was blessed to catch a ride from Paradise Helicopters our last day, and the last day of significant eruptions.

I just wanted to give a big shout out to Simply Design Studios own Sharon Biddinger. She sung the Nathional anthem to honor and welcome Team Long Road at the end of their journey. She gave just an incredible performance. Thank you Sharon 👏👏

Team Long Road is Justin “JD” LeHew, Coleman “Rocky” Kinzer, and Raymond Shinohara who hiked US Hwy 20 from Boston, MA to Newport, OR. They took off June 6th, 2022, (which is also D-Day) and walked all 3,365 miles. The walked in support of America’s Missing and Killed In Action from all wars and conflicts, Gold Star families, as well as highlight numerous other great charitable causes in support of helping and continuing to give back to others from all walks and challenges of life. All three men served in the United States Marine Corp.

Winding down my trip to Florida. Really enjoying all the palm trees along the beaches and warm sand between my toes. This may be a private pier, but still makes a great subject for a sunrise photo shoot.
