✅️Newport’s Surfrider Chapter would like to extend an invitation to our next Blue Drinks event coming up next week.  This one we'll be doing a bit differently, at Beverly Beach State Park.  Hope to see you there! 🤙

✅️Join the Elakha Alliance, the Confederated Tribes of Siletz Indians and the Newport Chapter of Surfrider Foundation at Beverly Beach State Park for an evening exploring the history, culture, and ecology of this special stretch of the Oregon coast.

💙As part of Surfrider's ongoing efforts to better engage the public in protecting Beverly Beach, the event will feature stories and perspectives from tribal history to build a broader, more inclusive sense of place to this stretch of coastline.

💙With Otter Rock just off the beach here, it's a fitting opportunity for the Elakha Alliance to join the discussion to talk about their partnered efforts to restore culturally and ecologically important wildlife along the coast.

Effective July 1, 2026 Thompson’s Sanitary Service rates will increase by 4.57% in the City and 3.5% in the County. This increase is primarily driven by increased disposal costs, fuel, and our commitment to providing living wage jobs with competitive benefits to our employees.

We remain dedicated to innovation and efficiency in our ongoing effort to control expenses, while continuing to guide sustainable choices.
