Reuse is best - financially and environmentally! Evidence on why to ditch single use.
And remember...compostable plastic is not accepted in Mixed Compostables service by any hauler or industrial compost facility in Oregon.

We apologize - we posted incorrectly last week about our new Transfer Station hours! The social media manager wasn't practicing their listening skills - sad face ☹️ - it happens sometimes.
Here are the new CORRECT hours! Monday thru Friday 7am-4pm and Saturday 9am-5pm. This is to accommodate our early riser contractor friends during the week and our weekend warriors on Saturday.

You can RECYCLE even more at the Newport Recycling Depot! Since January, the TSS team has been working hard to bring you more recycling options for those hard-to-recycle items.
Not only are we now a RecycleOn depot including plastic lids, film plastic, aluminum foil, and shredded paper but we've made recycling possible for clamshells, textiles, light bulbs, and propane tanks. All of these new items have responsible end markets where they're recycled in regional markets. You can feel good about recycling these items!
You can also subscribe to our new porchside recycling service, Recycle+, where you can recycle most of these items from the convenience of porchside pickup service.

🧙‍♂️Waste Wizard Wednesday - "Shredded Paper" edition!

♻️We are recycle-maxxing at the Newport Recycling Depot where you can now recycle shredded paper + many other new materials for free recycling!
✅ Shredded Paper was taken out of the blue curbside cart because once it arrived at the recycling facility it basically blew all over the place and got wet.
✅ That means it wasn’t getting recycled - so now we have a specific bin at our Recycling Depot where it will be taken directly to a paper recycler where it will be recycled!
TSS is now a depot which means you can recycle even more and be confident it's getting recycled responsibly. Come check it out - 7450 NE Avery, M-F 8am-4pm.
