This transaction reminded us why we love what we do.

Nahla had been exceptionally specified, maintained, and documented over the years, the kind of ownership that truly stands out in today’s market.

The new owners immediately recognized both the quality of the boat and the opportunity ahead of them, stepping into a beautifully prepared platform for their cruising life.

It was a pleasure to represent both parties throughout the process and guide these first-time owners into the right boat for their program.

Following closing, Rapide arranged delivery to Nahla’s new home port, where Spike will spend a few days onboard helping the new owners get acquainted with her.

At Rapide, the relationship doesn’t end at closing.

Following the sale of Dreadknot, we worked closely with Rick to help build the racing program he envisioned, connecting him with trusted vendors, surveyors, captains, and crew to ensure a seamless transition into ownership.

Guy later flew out to prepare the boat for racing and, alongside a team assembled with Rapide’s support, delivered her to the BVI, where Spike joined as pit crew for the new Dreadknot team’s very first regatta.

After the BVI Spring Regatta, Guy once again assisted with the delivery north and helped manage the refit before handing over to the program’s new captain. Dreadknot is now preparing for her first East Coast racing season.

This is what Rapide is built around, long-term relationships, hands-on support, and staying involved well beyond the sale to help owners get the absolute most out of their programs.
