What it does
PULSE NANO watches for sudden bright flashes and sends a shutter signal through a wired camera cable. It does not try to predict lightning. It reacts to the flash.

Uses:
Lightning photography after dark or at dusk.
Fireworks and other sudden bright events.
Timed sequences with the built-in intervalometer.
Any setup where you already have the camera framed and focused on a tripod and need the shutter to fire the instant the sky lights up.

Visible + infrared sensor (430–1100 nm), so it can see more than what your eye catches in the moment.

And when I say this thing is sensitive, I mean INSANELY sensitive.

During testing, the Nano was actually being triggered by the flashing wing lights of airplanes approximately 350 MILES AWAY.

Look closely at the night-sky photo — just left of center near the power lines, you can see the red streaks from an airplane’s wing lights. The Nano was sensitive enough to detect those flashes during the test.
