For our clients with multiple locations, we often hear from them scaling and tracking is among the most challenging aspects of maintaining a training schedule. For clients like Commonwealth Credit Union, who have over a dozen branches, all varying in staffing numbers from 4-300, and ranging in type of the work being completed at certain locations.

Videos and lectures might check the box for annual workplace violence training, but are they impactful when it matters?

We recently completed several training sessions with Commonwealth Credit Union and a few members of their staff sat down with our team to discuss their experiences. Kristie's experience with previous workplace violence training had been "basic." That's not a word that inspires confidence in the event of an emergency or confrontation.

Workplace violence prevention plans can't prevent every incident, but they can provide employees with a valuable skillset for recognizing the signs of potential violence and how to respond.

Farmers Bank completed our 2 hour Survive Your Environment course yesterday. The course includes 9 lessons, taught through lectures, breakout sessions, and interactive walk-throughs. The majority of the course focuses on securing the environment in a short amount of time. Additional focus areas include: understanding the warning signs of workplace violence, quick glance situational assessments, and working in teams. This investment in safety skills will give their employees the tools to keep themselves, each other, and their customers safe.

We do not include unannounced scenarios, simulation gunfire, or scare tactics that are used in other active aggressor training sessions. Civilians do not need to be trained in the same manner that first responders are. Almost half (42%) of people report an increase in anxiety after training active shooter drills. Our philosophy is to train without traumatizing.
