A recent demonstration that took place at the Maryland Correctional Administrators Association Conference. In this demo, we use the analogy of a gas pedal to explain the varying intensity of the CD3 G.L.O.V.E.

Stimulation intensity is controlled by the amount of pressure applied and the duration of time it is applied for. A light amount of pressure for a short amount of time can deliver a stimulation that is just enough to distract or deter the subject from continuing to act in a destructive or combative manner. Should they continue after verbal commands to cease the behavior, or to refuse to comply to directions, applying more pressure will lead to a higher intensity stimulation that has a high success rate of gaining compliance after only a few seconds.

As seen, CD3 Technology does not conduct through hair, metal, clothing, plastic, or fur. The opposing pads of the device react only to skin. This allows for officers to navigate clothing of the subject, themselves, other tools, and interact with other officers with minimal chances of accidental stimulation. There is no electricity entering the body. The devices do not affect individuals with pacemakers, AFib, PVCs, tachycardia, or other heart-related conditions differently than individuals without such conditions.

Correctional Officers handle subjects of all shapes and sizes. In this demonstration, our volunteer is well over the average national height, but the G.L.O.V.E. stimulation was still able to bring him to the ground, without any tactical moves or defensive strategies.

CD3 Technology products include the G.L.O.V.E., E-Band, E-Vest, and Light Sound Shield. Training photos from Northern Neck Regional Jail in Virginia. This was a recertification training to keep ensure that their department's Instructors are operating with the most up-to-date information, practices, and tactics. As our technology evolves, policing practices are updated, and we develop procedures based on feedback from users, our training evolves as well.

Our training was developed by individuals with policing, military, and combative instruction experience. You can view the requirements for and the course details of both our Instructor Training and our Agency Master Instructor certifications on our website here: https://www.complianttrainingservices.com/basicplus

We believe that with the proper training and the right tools we can see a reduction in these averages over the next 10 years. Our mission is a company to provide solutions to today's toughest challenges. Our CD3 Technology tools and our defensive tactic training courses were designed to help officers reduce the time it takes to subdue a combative subject.

Reducing the time spent struggling drastically reduces the chances for injuries. The odds of officer injuries increase by 36% when subject displays active resistance & higher. The odds increase by 45%, if struggle duration over 1 minute.

A clip from a recent CD3 Certification course with officers at Dauphin County Prison in Pennsylvania.

We often post clips from training sessions where the CD3 device is not featured at all. Focusing on the movement first, before the CD3 stimulation, helps the officer retain the muscle memory of the tactics. It also reveals to them the importance of hand placements, foot movements, and protective stances.

This specific clip focuses on a non-ground fighting scenario that many officers in prisons or on the streets deal have been in. To see the full course breakdown, more example videos, or to schedule a demo, check out our website.
