The end of an era is The Glass Mule’s journey is coming to a close at the end of the month and we invite you to join us for a last hoorah, a Final Flameoff if you will.

We would love to see as many of you come out the 23rd through the 25th to hang out, buy some last minute glass, blow some glass, and just allow us to enjoy your company as we close the doors on this part of our journey.

Again, we thank you for all the years of support, the memories, and the art we’ve all gotten to share together.

Tonight, in my arms and surrounded by her loving family, our dog Nikita took her last breath at 11:13pm.

She was our beautiful, protective, loyal chocolate lab mix that we had gotten as a puppy in 2014.

She cared for us and she loved us, and we loved her.

She protected us from coast to coast.

She’s with our girl Mercy now on the rainbow bridge. She’s with my brothers Atwood Jace, Tyler Osborn, Ronnie Herron and others. It brings us peace knowing she arrived on the other side of the rainbow bridge to familiar faces who loved her and will take care of her until we meet again.

RIP Nikita girl. We’ll never forget you.

It is with great sadness and gratitude that I have to announce that we will be closing The Glass Mule’s retail brick-and-mortar location at the end of October.

Over the last 6 years, we have been honored to have your business, your support, and your friendships. We have been honored to have put a spotlight on American-made borosilicate glass art to Indiana in an effort to bring awareness to lampworking and support AMERICAN glass artists. Hosting demos, classes, workshops, and glassblowing lessons in our gallery had NEVER been done before in INDIANA by any other smoke shop EVER, and we’re proud to have had you all to share those experiences with us.

We announced this same news almost a year ago today when our lease was due to be up, but with very short notice that we could stay, we chose to fight the good fight a bit longer in hopes of making it through the Indiana prohibition against all things cannabis/hemp, but we can no longer financially hang on while hoping that Indiana catches up and gives Hoosiers what they want and need.

We have about 5 weeks left before we have to close our doors permanently and move back to being online and events ONLY.

We’re offering amazing DISCOUNTS IN-Store on most remaining inventory, so please, if you need ANYTHING smoke shop-related, please consider us while we’re still here locally.

If you’re an artist with consigned work in the shop, rest assured that if you can not make it to the shop to pick up your work, it will be packed separately by me personally and set aside to be returned to you one way or another.

We are all sad about this outcome but we look forward to coming back stronger than ever in the future.

Big huge Mule Fam thank you to all who shared good times and one of a kind creations in this space. Thank you to all the artists that taught here, learned here, and allowed us the honor of being apart of it. Stay tuned for future announcements, event dates, online sales and more.
